Color Switch is a really addictive game on the iOS and Android platform with a 4.4 rating. It has reasonable difficulty level, clever obstacles and a good soundtrack to keep you moving. Also, it has installation size only 21.54 MB.

To obtain the highest score, you must color match with every new obstacle and tap at it to obtain a new power up to match the next obstacle. When you earn enough stars, you are able to purchase a new shape for your ball though the levels remain the same.

Color Modes Tips and Tricks 

HASTY IS GOOD BUT DON’T OVERDO: you need to move fast through one matching side of the obstacle as your ball, but then hold your position within it as your next matching color might not be as quick as your motion and you may end up colliding with the wall. To hold in position tap at about 2 taps per second and tap faster when it’s time to go through the matching color.

PATIENCE IS THE KEY: Once you’re past an obstacle, stay afloat. Don’t rush onto the next one and keep tapping gently which will give you time to plan to overcome the next obstacle and understand it better before proceeding.

PAUSE PROBLEM: you can pause the game if you are too frustrated and take some time off as it will give you more focus later. You can continue from where you left if you pause the game and close it. But be careful, start tapping before un-pausing the game as that may be the end of it if you wait for too long. Also, do not pause and quit, it wouldn’t save your progress.

TURN DOWN THE MUSIC: the beats may mislead you into tapping in sync with them so it’s better to play the game with the music turned off as it’ll give you a better focus.

One of the toughest shapes to get through is the circle with many hands in it like a clock. Wait for the shades to coordinate and tap at your regular pace till two similar colors line up and tap fast to reach inside. A new way to earn stars is at the end of the game when an offer pops up offering free stars in exchange of viewing an advertisement. You can earn 30 stars after watching one advertisement which hardly lasts 30 seconds.

You don’t really haave to hit a color if you safely make it through the obstacle untouched as long as you get the star. E.g double windmill Also, there is a small buffer on the outside of shapes which may help you fall back if you brush the wrong color. It’s the timing you need to work on.

New Game Modes

REVERSE MODE: it is level based like challenge mode but has you going down instead of up. You need to bounce up when you hit the screen and fall through the obstacle when the time is right.

RACE MODE: it is pretty much the same as challenged mode provided you have to race against a ghost circle. After a play through, you have your own ghost circle which you need to beat in the next round. You lose even if you cross the finish line but don’t beat the ghost.

CAVE MODE: it has different level designs that have very closely spaced obstacles. So you need to take it a little slow in this one keeping in mind the upcoming “almost-touching” obstacles.

COLOR FLY MODE: It is one of the most original modes of the game. The levels are planned sideways instead of ups and downs. Obstacles are the same but rush through the front and you fly forward through them and tap bounce.

COLOR SWAP MODE: the colors change randomly rather than in between obstacles in this mode. The screen flashes a little bit three times to change the color of the ball every 10 seconds or so.
